This is my posse from back in my IGES days, sometime in the early 1990s ... I think it was at the IPO meeting in Phoenix, AZ.

I seem to recall we were celebrating my recent promotion to Principal Software Engineer, which is like the E-9 grade for technicals, like my Principal Scientist and Principal Engineer friends from General Electric, General Dynamics, and General Motors ... I didn't have a Ph.D. like most of them, but I had 15 years experience and an international reputation in my field, so I met the 10 years and national reputation requirements, and they waived the Masters degree requirement based on my extra 5 years of experience.
