Digital Postcards Digital PostcardsWelcome to my Digital Postcards ... some are of a generic nature, mostly from my earlier photography career in the 1970s, and some have been purchased by tourists. All of them are 1200x1800 pixels in size, and you can get excellent 4x6 prints from them for 29 cents each at any drugstore.
Some of them have solid borders on the left and right edges ... this is to match the 2x3 aspect ratio of a 4x6 inch postcard, whereas the image was originally used as desktop wallpaper, which has a 4x3 aspect ratio for 800x600 monitors ... think of it as 8:12 versus 9x12, so the borders are 1/24th added to each side for the missing 1:12th.
