From "Erik Metzler" <emetzler@emetzler.com> To <dennette@wiz-worx.com> Subject ...and the past never leaves us Date Sat, 10 Feb 2001 090307 -0800 Denny, I think that's the name I knew you by...and I'm Erik, the son of the Art Therapist Guy Metzler (Metzger?) in your wall of pictures. I remember you well, and it's a pleasant surprise to see my dad's picture on your informal, autobiographical page. Once in a while I do a search on his name to see what turns up, and this morning I found your page thru google... Karl always remembered you, too, and he was very pleased with the photos you took of him. He was fond of you and wanted to encourage your development as a photographer. He died in '95 (he was 85), and Kiki, Leif, and I all live on the west coast now, those two in Eugene, Oregon and I in Seattle. I remember you visiting me in my apartment at 712 St. Paul, around the corner from Mt. Vernon Place, and I remember that I pissed you off about something but I can't remember what. I also remember Kiki's adventures in Ocean City. She's still an artist and has lots of kids. Leif has a tree company and has built himself a house in the country outside Eugene. He spends time in Mexico when he can. I spent a long time as a musician, then settled down, got a real job, got fired, became a consultant. Now I have a wonderful wife and 13 yo son, got a better piano than I could have as a musician, and I practice all the time... Best wishes to you. Yours, Erik Metzler
