Dennette's Gallery of Nudes ... NOT!

OK, there's just this one last piece you have to read before you can see the "nekkid womens" ...

In the past few weeks, I've gained a lot of insights and changed my opinion about a few things. One of the people who sent me e-mail about the RoadBlock page had a Very Interesting "signature", the tag-line that some people put at the end of their e-mail messages ...

"Most people just surf the Web; a few of us make the waves."

For a while, even when people got past the RoadBlock, all they got was a <flame!> about my disgust with the 56+ people per day who were visiting Dennette's Gallery of Nudes. (Read the <flame!>) Some of the people complained that they had neither a Web HomePage nor an e-mail address ... they were using a public-access terminal.

OK, so only 2% of the surfers have pages of their own ... someone accused me of being elitist by only giving the URL to people who also had Web pages. They were correct, and I started sending the URL to anyone who sent me a message. Then I started sending it automagically to those who left an interesting comment. (Read some of the comments.)

The biggest change in my attitude came from a particularly vitriolic flaming sphincter who was Totally Clueless about Dennette's HomeBoy Page and had dropped into the RoadBlock from some other site that was using the URL:

This gave me a new insight and softened my contempt for the lurkers. It also made me realize that I was doing the Right Thing ... just making it harder for people to see them is enough. Some will give up in frustration, others will be too stupid to figure it out ... kind of like "Social Darwinism" ... the ones who understand that the next step to see the nudes is to click the appropriate hyperlink are Much Closer to the top of the food chain, and the others will just be road-kill on the information super-highway.

Monday, June 17, 1996 - Freeman Lake

Last week, a three judge panel issued an injunction that has stopped enforcement of the CDA, but the Supreme Court has NOT declared it unconstitutional, as some people mistakenly believe. Until the law is repealed, this RoadBlock stays in place.

But after two weeks of reading comments, I've decided to make the page in question accessible again. That's because I realized that the Totally Clueless will never get to the end of this little flame, and even if they do, they probably won't notice that if they click here they'll get to see the pix just like I promised, so if they miss out on them, well, that's just Too Bad, isn't it?

I mean, come on, folks ... this Web stuff ain't Rocket Science! Just because I'm a Life Member of Mensa doesn't mean that you must also qualify for membership in order to figure this stuff out, but the Forest Gumps out there will have given up by now, and personally, I think that's a Good Thing.

BTW, you really should see the African American Holocaust Page, a site that risked the quarter-million dollar fine mandated by the CDA for it's excessive violence, which is to say, pictures of dead bodies ... black men lynched by white mobs in America during the first half of this century.

There's a 14 year old black boy who got half his head blown off, allegedly for whistling at a white woman ... his mother insisted on an open coffin funeral so that "the whole world can see what they done to my baby." Even in 1964, when I was his age, that could have happened to me.

Maybe after seeing those images, you will understand the REAL threat of censorship ... the White Christian Conservatives do not want your children to see what their fathers have been doing for over 100 years. And remember ... this is a fate that I have been afraid of for over 30 years, because I was taught that the only thing the white man hates worse than a smart-assed nigger is a smart-assed nigger who is right all of the time, and having an IQ that's certified higher than 98% of the population makes me a prime target for becoming Strange Fruit.

Just remember ... there are still people in America who would like to do those things to me because I took pictures of white women with no clothes on. Maybe you are one of them ... to which I say, "Eat your heart out, you rascist scum-bag!"
