I came to a decision today … There are a lot of jerks out there in Cyber-space, and although I thought that there might be fewer of them (proportionally) than there are in The Real World, experience has proven me wrong.

A few days ago, I put up a Road Block to restrict access to my Gallery of Nudes. I did it for a number of reasons, not the least of which was an e-mail message I got from a public school principal a few months ago, during Black History Month.

You see, my father was an officer in a segregated unit during World War II, and I have an award-winning Web page about his regiment - one of the members will finally get the Medal of Honor fifty years after he sacrificed his life to save his companions.

I invited the principal to have his students use the page as reference material. His response was that he had to decline my offer because it was just a few mouse clicks away from Dennette's Gallery of Nudes, and that was not a Good Thing.

That made me realize that all of the Good Things I had to say in the 40 megabytes of Web pages I have was being compromised by some Questionable Material, and that I have a responsibility to the Adult Conspiracy … none of the educators in this country were going to risk "exposing" their students to my Web pages as long as there was a possibility that kids would use my nudes to help them "choke their chickens".

Another reason why I decided to erect the Road Block was that I've been getting over 50 hits a day on the Photography page, and I was wondering who all of these people were. I found out Real Quick that they did not want me to know who they were … bogus names and e-mail addresses, and none of them left a valid URL to their own pages.

Well, I used to do this for a living, and twenty years ago, I decided that I didn't want to do it for a living any longer. I thought that "in the spirit of the 'Net", I'd just make them available for viewing for free. I realize now that it was a mistake.

You, the reader, are probably male, probably single, and probably sexually frustrated. That's your problem, not mine. If you have taken the time to read my Web pages, you know things about my life that I haven't even bothered to share with my own parents. And what have you offered me in return? Deception. Lies. Falsehoods.

So … I've decided that the Vast Majority of you do not deserve to see my nude photography, and I'm taking them off the Web. If you really don't have any kind of a life, them maybe you'll waste a few hours (and dollars) trying to find them … all I've done is hide the URLs from "public" view.

Maybe if you ask me Real Nice (by sending me an e-mail message) and have your own HomePage, then I'll let you see them. If I think you're an ass-hole or a looser, then you'll never hear from me. Just remember … This is my creative effort, so it's my choice who gets to share it, and I don't have to share it with Total Strangers who don't want me to know who they are.
