Here's a tip for this model ... get some white cotton gloves from a photo shop or a funeral parlor. The grease and oils on your fingers will eat through the chrome! You must scrape the chrome from the areas to be glued, so there is a lot of handling involved in making this kit.
I made the unplated version first, and the plated version took twice as long
to assemble, although no painting (except the base) was required. The base,
by the way, is a real Putty Monster, but well worth the effort. The ships
are poorly balanced, so use epoxy to attach them to the base.
