The Tells: My Second Wife, Jean

In case you weren't already aware of the fact, I've been married twice. I'll talk more about the first wife later, but for right now I need an anchor for the two letters and maybe some of the e-mail we've exchanged since we got divorced in 1988.

I got laid-off in the Fall of 1992. In the Summer of 1993, I started looking into converting my 25 years of journals into a hypermedia CD-ROM "novel". For completeness, I needed so photographs of my 2nd wife and our time together. Our breakup had been Most Acrimonious, including public displays of hostility and aggression at Canadian Mensa's Annual Gathering in Montreal … and I distinctly remember sending her a decapitated stuffed animal by U.S. Mail. We had not communicated for years after that.

Well, she found some more of the photos and sent them, I had them digitized and returned them, and then I suffered a stroke in the Spring of 1994.

After I recovered, I took a trip to California in Jan'95 and saw the World Wide Web on a laptop 486 computer with 256 color VGA screen and a 28.8K PCMCIA modem-card connection to the infobahn. It was True Love. In the Spring of 1995, I opened "Dennette's HomeBoy Page" and registered the Internet domain name "wiz-worx.com".

Recently I've been concentrating on the Virtual Water Holes™ FPS pages, and both of my former wives get mentioned on the Kinship and Descendant pages, so I finally dug up the snapshots of Jean & me from thirteen years ago and the WordPerfect letters from two years ago, and converted them to GIF files and HTML for your edification and enlightenment, dear gentle reader.

• 30-Sep-93 Letter to Jean asking to borrow slides & negatives of our honeymoon in the Yucatan (Jan'83) and our vacation in the U.K. (Oct'83).
• 18-Dec-93 Letter to Jean returning the aforementioned photographs after having them transferred to Kodak PhotoCD.
