My Mother's HomePageThis is my mother, Phyllis Thelma Greenfield Harrod. She was born on July 16, 1918 in Washington, DC to Thelma Louise Jones and Vincent Marshall Greenfield. (Her sole sibling, Vincent Hugh Greenfield, died in the 1970s - his grandchildren can be found on the Vincent M. Greenfield FPS HomePage.) She currently resides in Washington, DC with my father (Dennette Arthur Harrod, Sr. ), my sister (Phyllisolive Harrod), and her son (Vincent Ratliff).

Formal portrait from 1972 |
Mom spent the 1971-72 school year on an exchange program for Jr. High School Guidance Counselors at Clark AFB in the Philipines. The formal portrait from 1972 was taken for her birthday. (This is the dress in which she wished to be buried.) While there, she had an audience with Imelda Marcos -- the First Lady served Mom's tea with her own hands!
Mom is also a shutter bug, and I plan to add a lot of her snapshots over time. For now, you can see some of her pictures of Famous People:
Mom died on 2000-12-08 at the age of 82. She is survived by myself, my sister (Phyllisolive Harrod), and her son (my nephew, Vincent Dennette Ratliff).
