Earl's funeral was on Tuesday, July 5, 1977 at 11:00 a.m. Services were conducted by Rev. Edward Thomas, at the Greeater First Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
Earl Allen Harrod, son of the late Eleanor and William Harrod, foster son of Mrs. Viola C. Harrod, was horn September 28, 1927, and departed this life on Tuesday, June 28, 1977 at 10:00 P. M. at Walter Reed Medical Center.

He was schooled in the District. He attended the churches of his community and in later years, joined the Greater First Baptist church.

For nearly twenty-five years he served the United States Government and enjoyed traveling to many places around the world.

The Army was a great part of his life, but in 1973, he decided to retire. In less than one month, he decided retirement wasn't for him and decided to go back to work. He worked for the Metro System and worked there until he became ill.

Dear Earl, we love you. We know we and many others will miss you. We mourn for you became we love you. Our hearts grieve for the loss we feel but our hearts are grateful for the time our Father in heaven gave you to us.

It is light that we give thanksgiving to the will of God and pray that your soul rest with Him now and always. -- The Family
