Dr. V. M. Greenfield's HomePageThis is Dr. Vincent Marshall Greenfield, my maternal grandfather. He was a Very Successful Man, who died before I was born. He married Thelma Armstrong Jones and they had two children, Phyllis Thelma Greenfield (my mother) and Vincent Hugh Greenfield (Uncle Huey).
I was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church as Dennette Arthur Vincent Harrod, which was what my mother called me when she was Really Most Sincerely Pissed. My sister named her first-born Vincent Dennette Ratliff.
This picture was taken long before I was born, but I don't know if it was before my mother was born. I never knew him I only know of him. His son, my Uncle Huey, was more prolific than my mother, and that side of the Greenfield line has more great-grandchildren than just my sister's son on our side.
One of them is an Airman First Class currently stationed in the Persian Gulf. She's with the military police, based out of Cheyenne Mountain, and I've never even seen a picture of her, unless it was a baby or graduation picture that her mother sent to my mother, and it happened to be within arm's reach the next time I visited home.
So, to my cousin A1C Elita LaKenda Inabinnette (whose father's name is also Vincent!), this is your great-grandfather, and his picture will always be here for your children and theirs.
