Florence Thompson at age 95

This is Florence Ella Carter Thompson, my great-grandmother, the mother of Donna, my father's mother.

This is probably the last photo taken of her … she is in a wheelchair in the nursing home where she spent her final days. (I remember visiting her there once while in my Freshman year at college.) This was probably taken in 1970, a few months before her death at the age of 95. This is from the collection of her gransons, Vondell and Maurice Carter.
