Well, this is a recreational computing project that I started in 1988 with my DEC Rainbow 100 PC ... it was running MS-DOS and I was using a freeware SDK for making "windows" and "menus" on an 80x25 text screen ... I've since ported it to Micro$oft Windows, and one day I'll make a Linux version using the GTK toolkit for GNU pop-ups.

This one started with an HP pen plottter, and the current version uses Linux X-windows graphics to generate output in any of several formats ... this GIF image was made from a Postscript file.
