Attention All Asswipes from MySpace and Google:

I haven't made an on-line entry for a Very Long Time ... what I started doing over a decade ago now has a name ... blog ... and it has led to a culture that I'm ashamed to be associated with ... a bunch of sexually vulgar teenagers, who congregate in a cyber-village called MySpace.

And then there's Google and their image search ... creeps looking for "nude" or "naughty chicks" hit my site so much in January that I exceeded my monthly bandwidth by 12%, with 5.7 Gb ... that's ten times the bandwith for July, which was less than 600 Mb.

Well, these are the two images that have been searched for most often by people looking for "nude" ... I removed the page that had been indexed by Google (it had 30 thumbnails on it, with about 20 of my nudes), and the Nudes page from my Photography pages, but Google's cache has a Very Long Memory, so people still find thumbnails for these images on two pages that the search returns. (You know how you got here, don't you, you Naughty Little Boy?)

The one on the left shows up on page 5, and it's been getting several hundred hits each week ... the one on the right comes in second (on page 6), but I'm not sure if it's the composition, the gay community, or horny women doing the searching ... and I'm not at all sure which of the last two creeps me out the most.

Anywho, after getting tired of seeing the 404 Errors in the logs for these JPEG files, I decided to point to this page ... if you are reading this, you're probably under 18 years of age, and living outside of the USA, and you were looking for "nude" or "naughty chicks" on Google ... if you're not Too Stupid, you can find some of my other pages and see some interesting photographs. (That's right, asshole ... keep clicking that thumbnail at the top of the screen, and maybe you won't get an insulting error!)

Yes, I'm insulting you because you've taken the pleasure out of having put the pages on the Web back in 1995 ... too many people put links to the images on their discussion board posts and blogs (as background wallpaper and avatar icons), and every bozo who got 500 hits per day (mostly on refresh, I imagine) forced a download from my server ... none of this I would have minded if only they had anchored it with a link back to my site.

I guess one of the things that really pisses me off is that they've abused the idea of "free" ... they use "free" access to "free" storage for their posts, and they grab bandwith from people like me without providing a link back to my site ... there's a bi-sexual woman on MySpace who gets a lot of traffic and has a link to my Bast site on her page, using an image from my site ... it gets several hundred downloads each week, but it's small, and it may draw people to my pages ...

OTOH, this one asswipe on MySpace posted pictures of me and my family from a Thanksgiving supper in 1979 ... I only discovered it after they had gobbled 10% of my bandwidth in less than a week! (I finally joined MySpace just so I could send nastygrams to the little delinquents when they posted my images, eventhough they had been warned on the pages where they found them.)

So ... I created a Really Annoying GIF that I used to replace the image references with by using a redirect on my server (can't figure out what I just said? or just not how to do it?) and bookmarked the pages so I could see how long it took them to replace their references.

Well, I guess I've got that out of my system ... I'm going to redirect some of the pages returned by the Google searches to this page for a while, and watch the behaviour of the Web crawlers ... see how many of you follow the crumbs to more of my pages ... short of that, I'll take comfort in the fact that you're a lazy bastard just looking for pictures of naked women so you can get your jollies, and I'd be wasting my time and talent by making them available to you in the first place.
