We got in about 02:00 ... Howard wanted to stop at the dirty bookstore ... a Very Impressive collection of hentai ... we watched 2 episodes of "Firefly" on the motel TV and got to sleep around 04:00 ... I got e-mail from a student with an IGES question, but Orion is frelled and I can't send e-mail. <sigh!>

It's my turn to drive, so I'll take us to Nashville, and Howard will take us to Knoxville for the night ... before we hit the road, he wants to get a present for Crystal, and I want a Graceland postcard ... I've picked up 4 refrigerator magnets so far ... probably get 2-3 more before the trip is done.

9:38 PM EDT - Parkside Tavern, Knoxville, TN

We made pretty good time today ... we've checked into the motel, and came back down the road for supper ... Howard wanted a beer, so we stopped at the first place with "tavern" in the name ... THEY HAVE GINGER ALE!! (First I've had since we left New Mexico :­)

We're at another Best Western, only this one has *wireless* high speed 'Net access, instead of cabled ... we're finally getting settled in before midnight ... more "Firefly" tonight! (Watched "The Train Job" and "Out of Gas" last night ... Howard was really impressed with the beer glass, and when they said we could buy two of them (three bucks each), I decided to treat him ... he's been paying for all of the meals during the trip, and I've been doing the gas and lodging.

My cell phone just rang as I was typing ... it was Wilbert calling to say he'd received the "jackalope" postcard I sent him ... the food's here, so time to stop.

Howard was attracted to the hostess, so I gave him my camera to take her picture ... her name is Rachel, and he was *supposed* to get her number, but my Paduan Learner is a little slow on the uptake (see Chicks for Free) ... he gave her one of my cards, and maybe she'll leave an e-mail address in my GuestBook.
