May 1, 2005 2:01 AM - WU Garage entrance
Sitting next to the garage door, having just walked down the driveway past my apartment ... gave me a chance to check out my "privacy" at night.
I'm entering this using the Sharp palmtop PC... haven't made an entry for a while, and still haven't figured out how to get these files from the PC cards to Orion or Zathras ... worst case, I can hook up a printer, print them, ad the OCR scan them. :-)
This automagic light next to the door is So Totally Bogus ... it only stays on for a few minutes, and I've been fidgeting around underneath it for longer than it was on and it hasn't triggered yet ... I've been thinking about sitting here until someone comes or goes, just to see if they will accost me, or even notice my presence ... but my legs and back are starting to hurt from sitting on the cold concrete, so I'd better go now.
9:03 AM - Cardoza Clinic
Waiting in line to pick up my meds ... dropped the Adm. Gracie at the Exxon at 14th and Allison, then took the bus ... rode the whole way with an unlit cigarette in my mouth, and still have not lit it ... "Oral-obsessive, less socially inappropriate than sucking my thumb in public."
Dropped the meds off last Friday, and never had the energy to get back ... after a week, they recycle them, 'cause they don't have much room ... the Good News is that the $500 in drugs each month is free ... the Bad News is that it usually takes 2 or 3 trips, because some times they've run out, and you have to come back after the weekly restock. <sigh!>
9:58 AM - 14th street bus
on my way back to pick up the van ... Phynque called my cell phone while I was checking out the underground Metro station ... so deep I couldn't get a signal, so it beeped at me while I was riding to the surface on the escalator ... she'd feeling 'punked", so I'm gonna stop by for a while before I try to go to the NRA range.
8:05 PM - WU Unit 104
Sitting in front of the boob-tube watching "Stargate SG-1" on the SciFi Channel ... interrupted updating 366th Infantry and Lt. John R. Fox pages for sunset devotions ... spent the day with Phynque watching DVD of "Fargo" with audio commentary ... she fixed liver & onions ("And I helped!") ... her sister-in-law Shiela stopped by for a visit, and then I dropped her off at the Takoma Metro station on my way home.
Blogging ... I wuz doing it before they had a name for it ... in 1995, I posted journal entries from 1974 on the Web ... today I'm using the same iron I used a decade ago (using AC power while at home), but I've got a bit of a snag getting the files from the palmtop to my WLAN ... but there's always a low-tech solution. :-)
