Sitting in the McDonalds just north of Walter Reed on Georgia Avenue, across the street fro Valencia's apartment ... had a craving for pancakes, and this seemed like a Quiet Time to have a booth to myself ... I have beau coup errands to run in Silver Spring today.
1. RadioShack ... I need batteries for my blood sugar monitor, and a bulb for an old slide viewer.
2. Gun shop ... price air pistol and air rifle ... need .177 cal wad-cutters ... see if they have traps with ballistic putty.
3. Bank ... deposit and 20 lbs of pennies to cash in - didn't even bother to look for "Wheaties" in this batch.
4. Frame shop ... pick up cut mats.
5. Art Supply ... check 8x10 cases. ($34 credit to use up)
Man, I wish I could have a cigarette, but I'll have to wait until I go out to the car. <sigh!>
It's very cold today ... we had a very light snow over the weekend, but New England got 2-3 feet ... I have pix of my last big blizzard on the lake to show people what Real Snow looks like.
Well, I guess it's time to hat-up and didi-mau ... I was just waxing nostalgic on one time when Pop and I stopped here ... I guess this was his "favorite" one in the area.
Talked to Chic last week for the first time in 5 years ... HoJo is still in New Mexico with Mac, and I guess the $500 I sent him has run out, but I can't spare anything right now.
