First entry in two months ... been too depressed & frustrated to write. Here for my second visit with Dr. Billian, delayed two weeks, first by me (loaned the Adm. Gracie to Lynn&Paul for the Mensa AG weekend and didn't get it back in time), and then by him (had to go out of town for a week).

My recovery has been remarkable. I discontinued the outpatient OT and PT a few weeks ago ... my left hand strength is onehalf and dexterity is one third, i.e., I can pick up the ten assorted small objects in 20 seconds with my right hand, but it takes about a minute with the left, or three times as long. When I was discharged, I couldn't even grasp half of them!!

I have a handcarved cane that I now carry mostly for show ... it is a hand gripping a ring the Gripping Hand! The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has a backlog for the competency road test to get a handicapped plate I can't take it until Aug 24th, and by then, they'll probably say that I don't need it anymore.

I started shaving my head again last week, and have been able to clip my own fingernails & toenails ... even trimmed FurFace's claws. Last month, I paid $10 for a manicure, and took FurFace to the vet for a clipping Stopped by to visit Brian&Jan on the sam trip, and the poor little cat got carsick (and dumped a load) on the way from the vet to Milford and later on the way home. I don't know i it was fear or age, but she doesn't "travel" as well as she used to.

I found out (from Lynn) that the reason Ann wouldn't take FurFace while I was in the hospital was because she urinated on the carpets and Ann had to replace them. I sent he a check for $300 (from the $500 that Mom sent me for a new TV) and she sent me a check for $13 in change, but never got a card or note about The Event.

3:59 PM At the theater ... just saw "The Lion King", walked out, turned around, and bought a ticket for "Forest Gump"!!
