My name is Dennette Arthur Harrod, Jr. In the 1970s, I was travelling the ARPANET as "The-Wiz". This is a handle that was bestowed on me by one of my Computer Science instructors at RIT during the first few weeks of class. This was just after the Broadway Musical had become Very Popular, so I started wearing a t-shirt that had the logo.
Recently, I used one of the Internet search engines
to find URLs of people who
call themselves "The Wiz".
Much to my surprise, there were beaucoup internauts out there with this handle,
which is more than I care to deal with. :-)
