The Tells: Worf Videos from ST:TNG®

OK, so, like this is a Very Nerdy kinda thing to do, ya know? But, like, this is exactly the kind of thing that people are supposed to do with computers, ya know, only, ya know, like, nobody thought that we'd turn the Internet into like this humongus disk-farm with all of this krap on it!

Even though I've been unemployed for the last three years, I still indulge some hobbies which require the expenditure of cold, hard cash. One of these hobbies is collecting video tapes. I have simply become more eclectic in my collecting.

For example, I decided to concentrate on the Saga of Worf ... the episodes that deal primarily with him and his family. I could have chosen Data or Geordi, but it's more fun to watch how much Worf changed over seven years ... from short-haired bully to pony-tailed warrior.

Today I added another jewel to the crown ... Family, Episode 78 of Star Trek: The Next Generation®, which was first aired on October 1, 1990. This is the one where we meet the Rozhenkos, Worf's human foster parents, and we also meet Capt. Picard's brother and family.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. This is my check-list which I did not have with me today when I paid $12.99 in tax-free New Hampshire for this normally $14.99 tape. Being broke, "On Sale" is the only way I can afford to buy them.

Now, what was so Nerdy about this? The fact that I took the time to add the URLs to the episodes in another data base. :-)

1999-06-02 - I have had a windfall and this past weekend ... I bought the last six episodes, so now my collection is complete! :-) -=DAH=-

34 - A Matter of Honor Cdr. Riker does a tour on a Klingon vessel - first look at Klingon culture. Klag: Is the food not to your liking? That is gagh. Riker: I know what it is. It's just that it's still moving! Klag (puzzled): Gagh is always best when served live.

46 - The Emissary Introduces K'Ehleyr, Worf's romantic interest.
65 - Sins of the Father Introduces Worf's brother, Kurn, and we learn that the father of Duras was responsible for the Khitomer massacre, for which Worf's father (Mogh) is falsely blamed.
78 - Family Worf's foster parents ( Sergey & Helena Rozhenkos) tour the Enterprise.
81 - Reunion K'Ehleyr returns with her son, Alexander, and Worf kills Duras. K'Ehleyr (to Worf): What, no bite on the cheek for old times' sake?
100 - Redemption The sons of Mogh, together again! After Gowron is installed as emperor, Worf resigns his Starfleet commission ...
101 - Redemption II ... to fight beside Kurn against Lursa and B'Etor, the Duras sisters.
110 - New Ground First bonding experience with Alexander.
116 - Ethics Worf's back is broken and he contemplates suicide.

2001-04-02 - I decided to add this one adventure from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine® ... On the verge of the Klingon invasion of Cardassia, Worf comes to Deep Space Nine. (Too bad I can't afford to start all over again and cover his romance and marriage to Jadzia Dax. :-) 473 & 474 (two-part episode) - The Way of the Warrior When the Klingon Empire ends its peace treaty with the Federation, Capt. Sisko must help Klingon Starfleet officer Worf decide where his loyalties lie.

2004-01-05 - A few months ago, I came into some extra cash, so I decided to get the DVD collections of Seasons 4-7 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine®, so now I have all of the Worf episodes ... Way of the Warrior was the first episode of Season 4. This also allows me to have a nearly complete collection of the episodes with my second most favorite Star Trek® character, Elim Garak ... I'm tempted to get the 3rd Season to fill in his back-story with Enabran Tain from the beginning, but I may just get some of the pivotal episodes on VHS.

2005-06-21 - Dude ... this site is now listed on Google under the subject "Worf". :-) Also, the German site to which I had been linking for the character biographies took down their English version, so I've update all of the links using www.StarTrek.com, which (God willing) should be around for a Long Time.
